Over the COVID-19 pandemic my father and I decided to build a shed in our backyard as we needed more storage to have a woodshop. We made this 10'x20' to the the largest allowed without a permit, although we still followed accessory building code. I worked the entire process: leveling the ground, pouring foundation, flooring, framing, roofing, siding, and painting. I mainly worked on this during the summer and because of that it took just over 2 years to complete.Â
I learned so much form this project, and am now competent in most steps of building a standard American style house. One of my favorite parts of the process was putting the walls in place as it felt like the entire building was coming together.
