Lake Superior Depth Map

For Christmas, I decided to make a laser cut depth map of Lake Superior for my girlfriends family since they live in Minnesota. I designed the topographic lines in ArcGIS by setting depth, smoothing lines, and eliminating islands too small. Then I cut out 9 sheets of 1/8" wood on a laser cutter and assembled them with wood glue. After the glue cured, we stained and finished the map to give it a nicer look.
